Who can vote? A United States citizen and a resident of California who is 18 years old or older on Election Day.
2026 Key Dates and Deadlines
- May 4 - Ballots will begin to be mailed.
- May 5 - Ballot drop-off locations open.
- May 18 - Last day to register to vote in November 2025.
- May 23 - Vote centers open for early in-person voting.
- June 6 - Statewide Special Election. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- June 9 - Vote-by-mail ballots must be received and postmarked on or before Election Day.
