The purpose of the SSCG is to provide students with additional financial aid to help offset the total cost of attendance and to encourage full-time enrollment and successful on-time completion. Students with 15 units or more per term, meeting the requirements above, will have eligibility for the maximum award.
The Student Success Completion Grant (SSCG) is an additional grant which may be awarded to Cal Grant B and C recipients attending a California Community College full-time (12 units or more). Students will be automatically reviewed for eligibility (requirements listed below). The SSCG provides students with an additional $2,596 - $8000 annually depending on the number of units they enroll in.
NOTE: Funding is limited and we cannot guarantee the award for every student even if you were awarded a previous semester.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a Cal Grant B or C recipient that received a full-time Cal Grant payment
- Must be enrolled full-time (12 units or more)
- Must meet federal Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards
- Must have unmet need to receive the SSCG
